It may also mean a renewed perspective to view the challenge in another way, or perhaps and opportunity to learn from others and yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Varied life experiences shape each of us and provide perspective on our understanding of the world and the web of relationship we develop. I think the search for meaning and purpose is a continuous journey.<\/p>\n<p>I will work alongside you. Together we can create a space of safety where you can ask questions and explore your world.<\/p>\n<h2>My Approach<\/h2>\n<p>Existential-humanistic therapy is my theoretical home. I draw support from mindful and self-compassion strategies; Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) and Cognitive-Behavioural (CBT) therapies. My approach is person-centred, strength-based, and trauma-informed. I am interested in hearing the cultural shaping of one\u2019s story and how these developed constructs can play a role in a person\u2019s experience.<\/p>\n<h2>Professional Background<\/h2>\n<p>I am a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists. I have been practicing in the area of counselling psychology with couples, adults, teens, and children (10 yrs +) in private practice since 2021.<\/p>\n<p>As a registered provider with Veteran Affairs, I extend my assistance to people in this area of service. I have been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for over two decades.
